CGTech training is designed to provide you with all the information and practical experience necessary to use VERICUT effectively. These courses are suited to anyone interested in performing NC program verification, including CAD/CAM users, NC programmers, and machinists.
The training program was very well laid out, thorough, and easy to comprehend. The trainer’s knowledge of the product was amazing. At the end of the week I had all the confidence in the world to go back to work and start implementing my new skills. I would recommend CGTech training to anyone.

Day 1:
Basic NC Program Simulation & Verification
This course introduces users to the basics of NC program verification. Following an overview of the interface and functionality, you’ll learn how each of the VERICUT modules solves specific NC manufacturing problems. Special emphasis will be placed on how to detect and locate errors in NC programs. This course also will show you how to analyze the cut part by comparing it to the design data.
Day two will begin with an introduction to navigating setups in the ‘project tree.’ We’ll then cover defining and positioning the stock model, and orienting the models on the machine. The afternoon will focus on effective file management, basic report creation and methods to export the as-machined model in a format that can be utilized in your CAD system.
Day 3:
Project configuration
This course builds on what you learned in days one and two to explore advanced uses of VERICUT. Topics include configuring multiple setup projects, advanced modeling and assembly techniques, defining tool shapes, how to use advanced settings that fine-tune the simulation, and how to use VERICUT’s ready-made library of NC machines and controls to process G-code. You’ll also learn how to use VERICUT’s built in inspection sequence report tools, and how to customize reports for your specific requirements.
Day 4:
Implementation of VERICUT in Your Manufacturing Process
This course covers the preparation of master templates to simplify user setup of VERICUT. You’ll learn what is required to implement VERICUT in your shop. You’ll see how to configure and use VERICUT to generate reports and inspection sequences to improve your manufacturing process and an introduction to the probing simulation and programming using VERICUT.
Day 5:
NC Program Optimization (OptiPath®)
On day five you’ll use the OptiPath feed/speed optimization module to achieve the ideal feed rates for every cutting condition. After a review of OptiPath’s settings and controls, you’ll learn the best method for each type of machining and will discover strategies for achieving optimal performance and precision from your machining center. The day concludes with an "Optimization Workshop" that provides valuable hands-on experience optimizing NC programs for a variety of tools, materials and cutting conditions.
