How to travel to the Foresight Centre Liverpool

Our schedule may be extended and other course locations considered subject to demand. We are also willing to quote for  special courses either based at our training facilities or at a customer site.

Standard VERICUT Version 6.2 courses offered:

VERICUT Verification
This three-day course provides training on all VERICUT functionality except OptiPath. The course covers three to five axis  milling and turning simulation, AUTO-DIFF  and CAD system interfaces. Then include your description of the three days. (Detailed description)

VERICUT Verification for Aerospace Users
This three day course is largely the same as the VERICUT Verification course but adapted for aerospace users.

NC Program Optimization (OptiPath®)

This one day course is aimed at both new and experienced VERICUT users and focuses on using the OptiPath feed/speed optimization module to achieve the ideal feed rates for every cutting condition. (Detailed description)

VERICUT Machine & Control Building
This four day course is offered for those who have already completed the VERICUT Verification course or who have a good  understanding of the product. The course covers the building and configuration of both CNC controller and machine tool models. (Detailed description)

VERICUT Refresher
We are now offering one-day refresher courses. This course is for existing VERICUT users and provides an introduction to the latest version. The day will be a mixture of class sessions and time to try some of your own work examples and discus any issues with our technical support team.

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS (Version 6.2 Training)

VERICUT Verification - This three day course introduces users to the basics of NC program simulation and verification. In addition to a general overview of the interface and functionality, we’ll cover defining and positioning the stock model, orienting the program to the stock, defining tool shapes, and thoroughly analysing the VERICUT cut model. You’ll learn how each of the VERICUT modules solves specific NC manufacturing problems, and how to integrate a wide variety of CAD/CAM data into the verification session. You will also learn effective file management, and how to automate program verification in a batch environment. Additional topics include advanced modeling and assembly techniques, how to use advanced settings to fine-tune the simulation, and how to use the library of NC controls to process CNC programs. You’ll learn how to export the ‘as-machined’ model in a format that can be utilised in your CAD system. You will also learn how to set up VERICUT to detect collisions between any modeled components. The three day VERICUT Verification for Aerospace Users course is largely the same as the VERICUT Verification course but adapted for aerospace users.
The cost for this course is £300 (€435) + VAT per day, per person
NC Program Optimization (OptiPath®) – This one day course is aimed at both new and experienced VERICUT users and focuses on using the OptiPath feed/speed optimisation module to achieve the ideal feed rates for every cutting condition. After a review of OptiPath’s settings and controls, you will learn the best method for each type of machining and discover strategies for achieving optimal performance and precision from your machining center. The day concludes with an "Optimisation Workshop" providing valuable hands-on experience optimizing NC programs for a variety of tools, materials and cutting conditions.
The cost for this course is £300 (€435) + VAT per person

VERICUT Machine & Control Building - This four day course covers the essentials for building the "virtual" CNC machine models needed for G-code processing and machine simulation. You’ll learn how to build kinematic representations of standard and multi-axis machine tools, as well as model them in 3-D with parametric and imported CAD models. Concepts such as proper machine construction techniques, defining travel limits, machine zero/pivot distance, etc. are addressed. We also focus on how to configure VERICUT to command complex CNC control features such as cutter diameter compensation, tool length compensation, gauge length programming, work coordinate systems, variables and branching/looping logic. We also explore more complicated NC machine and control challenges, leading to simulating machine tool motions and detecting potential collisions - before they become an expensive and dangerous reality. The course culminates with a hands-on machine simulation workshop where you can experiment wthe building various machines with the guidance of a knowledgeable instructor.
The cost for this course is £300 (€435) + VAT per day, per person

CGTech Ltd reserves the right to cancel any course up to 7 days before the starting date if the number of registrations is insufficient.

Due to class size limitations, registration is not a guarantee of a place if the course is full.
All registrations will be confirmed within a few days.
