VERICUT wurde um das Modul für CNC-Tastungen erweitert, um Messprogramme erstellen zu können.

VERICUT erzeugt während der Simulation ein im CNC Simulationsprozess einzigartiges Geometriemodell, dass sich ideal zum erstellen von Messroutinen eignet. So wird die Prozessinterne Inspektion des Werkstückes zur Realität. Mit der Simulation des Messvorganges können Fehler gefunden werden, die den Taster beschädigen würden… noch bevor das Programm tatsächlich zum Einsatz kommt! 

Bei den folgenden Operationen verhindert der Einsatz dieses Moduls Kollisionen von Taster und Maschine:

  • Rohteil und Spannmittel lokalisieren sowie Offsets einstellen
  • Rohteil abtasten und Abweichungen berücksichtigen
  • Rohteil- und/oder Spannmittelkonfiguration bzw. Teilenummer an der Maschine ermitteln

WARUM MESSOPERATIONEN SIMULIEREN?
Bei Messungen mit CNC-Maschinen können verschiedene Fehler auftreten. Die Tasterspitze bzw. der Tasterschaft berührt womöglich ein anderes Objekt und wird zerstört, während die Maschine nicht im Tastmodus arbeitet. Bei Bewegungen der Maschine kann der Körper des Messtasters oder eine Maschinenkomponente ein anderes Objekt berühren und so der teure Tastfühler zerstört werden. Natürlich kann auch ein Fehler in der Logik des Tastzyklus zu einer unerwarteten Bewegung der Maschine führen und diese beschädigen, den Tastfühler unbrauchbar machen, oder dessen Spitze abbrechen! Mit VERICUT-Simulation bereiten Tastungen keine Kopfschmerzen mehr! Sie werden benachrichtigt, wenn die Tasterspitze ein Objekt berührt, während sich die Maschine nicht im Tastmodus befindet – alle Kollisionen werden erkannt. Auch die Logik des Tastzyklus wird überprüft (die Maschinenbewegung also auf Basis der gemessen Daten korrigiert.

FUNKTIONSWEISE
VERICUT bewegt den simulierten Taster dann entlang des angegebenen Verfahrwegs. Die Bewegung kommt zum Stillstand, sobald die Messspitze ein Objekt berührt oder das Ende des programmierten Verfahrwegs erreicht. Die Ergebnisse dieses Probedurchlaufs (z. B. die Positionen der Maschinenachsen) werden mit der normalen Steuerungsimulation von VERICUT in das Tast-Unterprogramm eingefügt – wie bei Ihrer CNC-Maschine auch. VERICUT simuliert alle Aspekte der Subroutinen/Unterprogramme für Messungen – auch komplexe Logik und Typ II-Formate. Airbus is selling so well that the demand to increase build rate has never been higher. BAE Systems (Filton, UK) needed a simple way to improve throughput - it found the answer in VERICUT.
Tell Tool of Westfield, Mass., has integrated VERICUT CNC simulation software into its numerical control program prove-out process.

Flying shrapnel from shattered cutting tools and components is avoided by using VERICUT to test student programs before they are run on NC machines.
The NC programmers at Ingersoll also rely on the simulation software to prevent mistakes when programming complex, five-axis parts.
After creating the NC programs in Mastercam, they began simulating the machining process in VERICUT by simulating the G-code data. There often can be a difference between the motion as programmed and the code after it's run through the post processor
After selecting VERICUT for third-party verification, each NC programmer attended two days of basic training where they experienced first-hand the type of results they could expect to achieve.
The program simulates milling, drilling, turning, wire EDM, and mill/turn machining operations using both G-codes and CAM output.
VERICUT provides simulation capabilities for the all the 3-5 axis and wire EDM parts, with focused control over the orientation of our 5-axis machine tool including the cutters used on that machine.
The inspection probe is created as a tool in VERICUT so the complete in- cycle gauging sequence is checked for collisions.
The bottom was machined first. This effort took about 24 hours from start to finish. By using VERICUT software from CGTech, Elliot was able to test the NC program for any problems before it was ever cut on the machine.
